Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time, to allow for safe entrance and exit for any previous clients and necessary cleaning/replenishing linens.

Your appointment will last between 30-60 minutes depending on the reason for your visit. We ask that you come dressed in comfortable clothing and that you wear easily removable garments to enable skin contact. Appropriate undergarments must be worn. (If your treatment requires contact with the upper body, we would kindly ask that, if worn, bras are rear fastening.)

There is a privacy screen in the treatment room should you need to change, however during the strict measures taken to control the spread of Covid-19, we ask that you aim to arrive as prepared for your treatment as possible.

You will be sent a medical questionnaire and consent form to complete before you attend your appointment. Consultations will begin with a review of your injury history as well as a physical assessment, with particular attention to the area of focus for your treatment. This may involve some range of motion testing and observation of possible imbalance or dysfunction.

During and following the treatment
Sports Massage Therapy often involves some deep tissue friction and a firm level of pressure, and your therapist will verbally check in with you throughout the treatment to ensure your comfort. Massage of this kind can often leave you feeling tired following treatment and you may also experience a more frequent need to urinate, so we would recommend that you drink plenty of clear fluids.

You may experience some tenderness or increased skin temperature following your treatment, but rest, application of a cold compress and plenty of fluids should see this disappear within 12-24 hours. Your therapist will check in with you on the day following your treatment to ensure you are feeling well.

If your appointment involves any other treatment modalities such as Medical Acupuncture, Cupping Therapy, Myofascial Release etc, your therapist will discuss what to expect in more detail.

Covid-19 and our hygiene measures
As a close contact service, we are bound by strict measures to control the spread of the virus and to protect all parties.

Upon entering the treatment room, there is a contactless hand sanitiser for your use and you are welcome to wear a face covering whilst inside the treatment room if you wish.

All linen will be freshly set for each client and there will be a minimum of 15 minutes between appointments to enable cleansing of the treatment room.

You will find a link in your Booking Confirmation email which will direct you to to complete a registration form and medical questionnaire. This is to minimise face to face discussion during your appointment. Please complete this and submit as soon as possible.

There will also be a second link in your Booking Confirmation email for a Covid-19 health declaration, which must be completed on the day of your appointment.

Housekeeping
We have hand washing and toilet facilities adjacent to the Treatment Room.

Payments
Your balance can be paid at your appointment using our contactless card reader.
Where a booking deposit has been charged, this will be deducted from your final balance or carried forward to your next appointment.

Cancellations

Please refer to our Cancellations, Terms and Conditions for details on cancelling and rescheduling appointments.
